At The Marshall School, we strive to provide the best possible education to our students by creating an environment that fosters learning, growth, and personal development.
Through our partnership with Germanna Community College, students take classes taught by Germanna instructors, with support from a Marshall School instructor in the classroom. Students pay Germanna's affordable tuition by the set deadlines and follow Germanna’s registration dates and guidelines. A counselor from Germanna will help students choose the right courses and guide them through the necessary paperwork. Credits earned count toward both a high school diploma and a college degree, with eligible classes guaranteed to transfer to Virginia public colleges and universities.
Students pay Germanna’s low tuition rates, allowing them to earn college credits affordably while still in high school.
Students can explore technical or professional courses, gaining advanced skills and advanced standing in their chosen fields.
The program helps students broaden their knowledge and specialize in areas of interest, making them more competitive for future college admissions.
At The Marshall School, we believe that a comfortable and safe learning environment is essential for student success.

Eligibility is determined based on the student’s academic standing and readiness for college-level coursework. Students should consult with both their Marshall School and Germanna counselors to confirm eligibility.
College courses may award more credits than high school courses. For example, a full year of high school English counts as one high school credit, while two semesters of college English will earn six college credits.
Students can take a variety of courses, but they need to work with a Germanna counselor to make sure the courses align with their academic goals and graduation requirements.
